I just wanted to send you a few pictures of my 55 Chevy gasser in progress. This car was at a local wrecking yard and was literally a day from getting crushed for scrap. Anyway I came along and picked it up for a mere $250.00 I left there with a frame from a 57 wagon, straight axle from a 66 Chevy van and the body with fairly nice doors and a perfect trunk. There was no cancer on her anywhere but both quarter panels needed much work. I put a glass one piece front end on her. I have a nicely built 427 tall deck from my old drag boat and a 4 speed with a new racing clutch given to me by my good friend Ray. Also have an old 59 (I think) smooth back Ford 9" with 355 limited slip. And to date I am way ahead of the game with only $2,200.00 invested. Not too bad heh?
