IT'S A 55' TILT FRONT END, MOON TANK, HOMEMADE CAGE, CUT WHEEL WELLS, WITH A 336"C.I. SMALL BLOCK WITH A 4 SPEED. OLDS REAR WITH 5:56 GEARS. THEY WON A LOT OF RACES WITH THIS CAR. I'LL SEND YOU ONE OF THE REPLACEMENT FOR THIS ONE WHEN THEY SOLD THE 55'.I'M LOOKING FOR ANY INFO ON THIS CAR. I KNOW IT WAS SOLD IN 73' - 74' IN ROCHESTER TO SOMEONE IN BUFFALO, I BELIEVE. |
HERE IS THE REPLACEMENT FOR THE
55'. ITS A 68' CAMARO WITH 67' DOORS AND GLASS FRONT END. THE DRIVE TRAIN IS RIGHT OUT OF THE 55' HILBORNS AND ALL. 336CI WITH A 4 SPEED AND OLDS REAR END W/5:56 GEARS. THIS CAR CRASHED ON THE TOP END AT EMPIRE DRAGWAY IN 75'. THE OLD 8" WIDE WHEELS WITH 13" WIDE SLICKS WENT POP AND TURNED RIGHT IN TO THE GUARD RAIL FROM THE LEFT LANE IN TO THE RIGHT LANE GUARD RAIL, JUST MISSING HIS OPPONENT WHO WAS WAY BEHIND LUCKILY. THE CAR WAS TOTALED BUT THE BLOCK AND HEADS LIVE TO THIS DAY. |
