3 November 2008 update

     Byron,

Thanks so much for posting our car in readers rides/lost and found, I am truly grateful. Here is one more photo that I believe is our car being run in C/A at I believe Pomona in the late sixties/early 70’s. This same lighter blue paint is under a couple coats of red and orange and primer. When we strip it for paint we will take our time to see what old lettering may come through. If anyone has any info on the car in this iteration that would be very cool also. Thanks and let me know when I can help you.

Sincerely Ric.

Hey Byron, thanks for the great website! I have some photos I would like to submit for readers rides and or Lost and Found. This ’56 was raced from approx. ’62-’67 by my dad and his partners Dick Jones and Chris Christensen. It was raced at San Fernando (home track), Long Beach, Fontana, Irwindale and attended most of if not all the Smokers Meets in Bakersfield with a runner up to Fred Tiexierra in ‘65 for B/G. It was dark blue with silver leaf lettering outlined in red. In ’04 my brother and I found what we believe to be the car in Celeste, TX on Ebay, and until proven wrong will accept it as such. No one we know has and info on the car from the day it was sold ‘67/’68 until we found it. If anyone has any more pictures or info as the “PC&J” car or “Yesterdays Child” we would be greatly appreciative. We are currently restoring it back to the ‘67/’68 era and will keep ya posted.

Thanks again, Ric Panneton.
